  • Central Moter Vehicle Act 1989 (Sec. 139)    

You have Registration Certificate (RC Book), Driving License, Insurance, P.U.C. (Pollution Certificate)
Under Section 139 of the National Motor Vehicle Act, 1989, the Traffic Police cannot take your challan even if you do not have any such document and you are required to give 15 days to show all these documents. You can cancel your unpaid invoice by showing it as well

In case of an accident and you do not have the documents at that time, you can go to the RTO office and show your documents anytime within 7 days as per Section 158 of the Motor Vehicle Act 2009.
